To be fair, even though I have a lot issues with Twilight, the whole "age gap" thing never bothered me. :shrug: I don't know why people seemed to make such a big deal about it. It kind of feels nitpicky, even for ME. I mean, for goodness sake! She's in love with a "vampire." The fact that he's 100+ years old makes the issue take a back seat in my book.

Yeah, it's not the age gap that bugs me either... because at least his appearance is 17, even though he's lived for much longer. The pedophile comment really sticks with the ending of the series, conerning the author paired up Bella's child with the werewolf guy who briefly dated Bella while Edward was away. He couldn't keep the mother so he has the daughter? Eww.
