Yeah, I was trying to figure out who hadn't met in the Bleach universe yet and it ended up being Szayel and Orihime and Halibel and Orihime. I was this close to using Halibel instead, but I needed a male so that I could use the ぼくvariation of the phrase.
Because despite what anime would have you believe, it is NOT common in real life for women to use it. Just saying.
Oh, and there ARE other words to refer to yourself, such as おれ (ore) and あたし (atashi), but they are not very formal words (or at least, I KNOW "ore" isn't), so you wouldn't use them when you are introducing yourself.

Extra lessons? This sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen...
