I'm sure some of you have noticed the sudden decrease in the lack of submission over the past week or so, with most of the submissions being ask TREA strips.
So, pop quiz!
What has ILMB87 been up to?
A) She's obviously slacking off, that slacker.
B) She's finally gotten a REAL job.
C) She's being held hostage by TREA so that the only things she can submit involve him.
D) All of the above
E) None of the above
F) You're really writing that original story of yours? I didn't think you were serious about that!
*waits five minutes* Okay, pencils down. If your answer is anything but F, then are wrong. Sorry. Better luck next time.
Seriously though, that's the reason I haven't been posting as much, with the exception of Ask TREA. Those strips, surprisingly, are easy though, because most of the content is written well in advance and all I have to do is make the strip.
So, for those...5 or so people who actually care, I started writing out the actual story story this past Friday (I also had to write out a rough backstory before I could even start writing, which took about a week to get 8 years of ideas straightened out) and I've been writing basically every day with the exception of Saturday. At the moment, I'm sitting at about 41 pages and everything written thus far is basically set up for the main plot, not to mention TREA hasn't even been introduced into the story yet.
There have been some struggles, ESPECIALLY with the beginning, but now that I'm starting to get to the good parts of the story, it's a lot easier to write.
I have no idea how long this is actually going to be, but I'm pretty certain at this point that I won't be able to get it down before classes start, although I will have a good percentage of it done...hopefully. It's amazing how much this story has a mind of its own, not that it's a bad thing, but certain things I thought would happen earlier in the story are occurring a little latter than I expected and things are getting moved around, etc.
Despite all this, I'm really enjoying this writing experience and I hope you can indulge me as I try to get this story out of my head and onto paper, metaphorically (but possibly literally, in the near future *crosses fingers*) speaking.
